The mobile eco-system is an inter-connected set of capabilities that we help brands and businesses access in exciting and relevant ways. Our clients often have widely-differing objectives, ranging from brand-activation right through to cutting costs in the call-centre, and our first job is to understand and embrace the client’s business objectives before generating technology-based solutions from the mobile ecosystem:

Mobile Messaging

We offer strong, reliable and fast mobile messaging across all bearers, including SMS, MMS, USSD, FAX and eMail. We route messaging traffic into and out of organizations, helping firms interact with their consumers using cost-effective and reliable interfaces from the web, from applications, from office productivity tools, or from third-party content sources. We are also able to provide larger organizations with custom interfaces, firm-specific SLA’s, and services that integrate messaging with other forms of interaction such as mobile internet and links to smartphone applications. Our mobile messaging platforms are redundant, scalable and based on the latest IBM quadcore fault-tolerant hardware / SANs, utilizing VMWare on Unix to dynamically spread load between Alert, General Purpose, and Bulk traffic streams.

Mobile Marketing

Our mobile marketing capabilities include mobile campaigning and mobile CRM for brands and businesses. We make use of our proprietary Catalyst Mobile Campaign platform to configure and operate highly interactive consumer engagement and brand activation campaigns, for multiple brands. Our Mobile Voucher platform allows clients to configure campaign mechanics which include rules for awarding vouchers, coupons, airtime, and even cash, all electronically delivered.

Mobile Publishing

Whether you are designing a publication on a smartphone or tablet, you are able to achieve that through our state of the art technology. We provide clients with access to iLoop’s world class platform to create and deploy Mobi sites which can incorporate access to client backend systems, mobile phone billing services (OBS), and our proprietary mobile Cashsend interface, rendering smoothly on any mobile device without the need for custom code.

Mobile Applications

Our mobile applications team provides clients with design, development and deployment capabilities on the Apple (iOS) and Android operating systems. We specialize in delivering applications (both Web apps and Native apps) that allow consumers access and interaction with corporate backend systems, such as quoting engines, booking systems, mobile sales force enablement and mobile self-service interfaces, to clients in the telco, healthcare, media and financial services sectors.

Mobile Content

Grapevine’s Mobile Content platform provides a repository for third-party content, facilitating the provision of mobile services that deliver content to consumers on behalf of third parties. Examples of mobile content services include weather, news, devotional, share market info, and many other content-types rendered in rich-media formats on mobile devices, on a scheduled or pull basis. We design, configure and deploy mobile content delivery and billing services for third parties in the media, financial services, and telco sectors.

Mobile Advertising (AdVine)

AdVine is the Africa’s leading premium mobile advertising network. We provide brands and advertisers access to the proprietary mPressions ad-serving platform via our partner 4th Screen, which delivers highly visible and exciting mobile advertising formats that support mobile internet sites, mobile social networks such as MXit, and within smartphone applications.

Mobile Billing & Payments

Our Mobile Billing Platform provides interfaces to third-parties wishing to bill for content delivery or other forms of mobile service delivery, on the consumer’s mobile phone bill in South Africa. This is a strictly regulated and controlled interface, and only available to accredited third parties. Grapevine reserves its right not to offer access to this service to any particular party for whatever reasons it may have at the time. The platform provides access to premium-rated mobile Shortcodes and OBS (reverse-billing) services.
