Up till now, commuters have found it very difficult to get hold of metro train schedules without either physically being at a station or having access to a computer. Now it’s as easy as picking up your cellphone.
Grapevine enables credit checking via SMS, USSD & Mobi
The Challenge:
South Africa’s Financial Services Act requires that retailers perform credit checks on consumers before entering into hire purchase agreements. This often requires the filing of a paper-based application, the consumer’s physical presence at the retailer and can be an embarrassing for the consumer should their application be rejected. To simply the process Transunion, South Africa’s leading credit bureau, wanted offer consumers a way to perform their own personal credit checks – before approaching a retailer.

Grapevine Interactive, a world-class name in real television voting, was aproached by Amstel’s PR Agency, to design and operate the mobile aspects of Class Act. The campaign was to host SMS voting lines and an interactive Mobi Site for Class Act.

The insurance industry is a dynamic and fast-paced industry. Delays in the process of signing clients up often causes the loss of the sale. PruProtect identified that in order to be more successful with signing up clients they had to create a platform that allowed them to sign up clients immediately, without the agent having to return to the office or even be in front of a computer.
Avis launches Mobile Internet car rental portal
With the prevalence of long queues at airports, it was imperative for Avis to find a user-friendly self-service technology solution that holiday and business travellers could use at any time. Avis called in Grapevine to design and implement a mobile car rental booking solution.
8ta signs up 850 000 new subscribers in 160 days
8ta, the newly-launched Mobile Operator subsidiary of Telkom, faced a dramatic challenge in gaining new subscribers in an already saturated prepaid market.
